Take the bus

One of the best way to see Edinburgh is to take the open topped bus tour. The tour will take you by many of the world class museums and galleries, past many of the Edinburgh hotels and give you a visual introduction to much of the city. It is a pleasant and relaxing way to see the city for the first time. Remember to dress for the occasion. Riding in an open top bus in Scotland may just be a bit cooler or damper than you are accustomed to at home. This tour will give you a good overview so you will know where to visit on subsequent days.
