Have you experienced skiing before then if so why not try out cross country skiing, this has proven to be a most popular winter sport which early Scandanavians and Native Americans used often as their only mode of transport. Unlike the modern skis of today they made their skis from wood, poles were made from bamboo and bound from strong wood derived thread. Cross Country Skiing was used to make travelling easier in snowy areas. Nowadays though skiing is more often enjoyed for ski holidays. Many of the locations for ski holidays include Canada, northern countries of Europe and Alaska.
