Only 20 Years Later

My children think that I am crazy. But, I’m sure that’s fairly normal in many families. Why do they think that I’m crazy? Well, because we’ve had the same sofas in our living room for twenty years now. Yes, you heard correctly. I did say twenty years. Believe it or not, the sofas are still in great shape. I’ve taken great care of these pieces of furniture. I didn’t feel like spending large amounts of money on furniture when my kids needed other things. I think one of the reasons that the pieces still look great is because of the placement of the sofas. The key is to never put the furniture in direct sunlight. Even when coming in through a window, the sun will fade the furniture. Be sure to keep blinds drawn or curtains closed so the furniture is shaded. And, don’t put them too close to air conditioning or heat vents, as this will cause unnecessary wear on furniture as well. And, be sure to clean them by following the manufacturer’s instructions. Follow these simple steps, and you’ll have great furniture for years to come.
