Stop The Risk Of Piriformis Syndrome From Taking Over your Health
By admin | February 26, 2008
Pain in the butt can take many forms, but we’re not saying things philosophically. Instead, this is about Piriformis syndrome. Although this is not a well known health problem, a lot of people are alreay suffering from it, and people should be more aware of it. Piriformis syndrome is what we nerdy doctor types call an entrapment neuropathy. Simply put, it means that a muscle deep in the gluteal area is tight and/or inflamed which decreases the conduction or flow of the largest nerve in the body, which lies nearby. To get an idea whether or not you may have piriformis syndrome, in addition to the pain patterns mentioned above, you would quite possibly have pain walking uphill or up stairs, along with pain after prolonged periods of sitting.
