What is Authorize.net?

Authorize.net is a payment gateway that gives users the capabilities to accept credit card and electronic check payments online through Authorize.net’s secure server. Authorize.net is only a payment gateway they don’t offer merchant accounts of anytime. You must have an existing merchant account in order to use Authorize.net’s secure payment gateway. Larger companies use an Advanced Integration Method with Authorize.net’s services so that the customer will not actually leave the larger company’s website. You will need advanced programming knowledge to be able to integrate Authorize.net into your website or ecommerce business if you don’t have any programming knowledge you will either need to use Simple Integration Methods or hire someone to do the work for you. Simple Integration will simply send your customers to Authorize.net to finish making their payment or purchase.
