Any company can be appointed as a legal registered auditor only by the law and only in this case they will be allowed to carry out audits of any firm or organization. Without this status they will never be able to get the audit of any company. Auditors for few companies are required to work as registered auditors. This really make the company take a sigh of relief as there auditor is himself allowed to carry out the internal audit.
