Basics of tattoo care

The basics of tattoo care are as follows:
1. Remove the bandage, from your new tattoo within 2 or 3 hours after getting it. Wash it using an antimicrobial or fragrance and color free soap and warm water. Do re cover your tattoo after the initial bandage is removed!
2. Blot your tattoo dry using a clean towel with a dark towel because excess ink or blood from your tattoo can stain any cloth it comes in contact with.
3. Apply a thin layer of a good skin lotion that is fragrance and color free, to your tattoo. Place an appropriate amount in one hand and rub your hands together. Then massage the lotion thoroughly, but gently, into your tattoo.
